Job description

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of the position is warehouse and inventory control that need to be maintained in the prescribed manner and to ensure that the Principles accounts is managed professionally.

Duties & Responsibilities

Administration:
• Accurate capturing of all documentation and record keeping
• Keep all internal and external reports up to date on a daily basis
• Ensure all filing is accurate and done on a daily basis
• Manage emails between principle and IHL within reasonable time frame – same day response and professional
• Ensure that a high standard of GWP is maintained at all times
• Apply good warehousing practice and quality assurance at all times in the workplace
• Perform tasks as assigned by Line Manager/OPS Managers
• Perform tasks as per operational procedures of IHL
• Complete the task within the set time lines and with relevant quality requirements for that specific task.

Operations:

Dispatch
• Check RTT waybill against invoice for accuracy of delivery address
• Match waybill with order by invoice number and address
• Secure waybill and any other stickers to outer box
• The amount of boxes as well as the weight of all is written on the invoice
• Labels that indicate specific instructions around the contents should be placed on the outside box e.g. Fragile, Fridge Line and Dawn

Picking & Packing
• Need to be operationally involved and be able to complete the picking and packing process if required
• Ensure that the stock is always neatly packed into boxes in order to maintain the product quality and integrity.

Cycle Counts
• Must be done in the specific time frames
• Stock accuracy must be adhered to
• Non-conforming stock must be identified and removed from active stock
• Records must be kept from all stock movements

Customer Service:
• Assist principle in a professional manner with any queries on a daily basis
• Principle need to be treated with respect at all times

Ad-hoc duities:
• Assists when and where necessary
• Or as instructed

Requirements, Skills and Experience
• Matric – Grade 12
• Applicants must have at least (5) five years of administrative warehouse experience
• Knowledge and understanding of distribution and reverse logistics
• Must be highly numerate, computer literate and analytical
• Strong English communication skills, written and verbal
• Strong working experience in MS Excel and Outlook, must be comfortable working with systems and spreadsheets for data capturing and reporting purposes
• Strong reporting competencies
• Detail orientated and deadline driven
• High level of attention to detail and strong data entry skills
• Committed and self-motivated
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team where needed
