JOB DESCRIPTION

 

SECURITY OFFICER/SECURITY RELIEVER

 

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION.

 

A Security Officer, or Security Reliever, is responsible for protecting a person, organization, or asset in the case of an incident. Their duties include monitoring a specific area, evicting trespassers, and writing reports detailing any occurrences during their shift.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Inspect and patrol premises regularly.

Monitor property entrance.

Authorize entrance of people and vehicles.

Report any suspicious behaviors and happenings.

Secure all exits, doors and windows.

Monitor surveillance cameras.

Requirements

 

ID & CV

A high school qualification or equivalent.

Grade C PSIRA certificate

Security Training Certificate approved by SASSETA

Basic first aid skills would be advantageous.

Physical strength and fitness.

Prior experience as a Security Guard would be advantageous.

Attention to detail

Valid Police Clearance

Proof of Address

Valid registered Tax Number

Proof of Banking details/Bank letter

Competencies

 

Having good communication skills.

Being physically fit.

Having good knowledge of security environments and hazards.

Being polite.

Having interpersonal skills.

Being able to work with a team.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
