Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be entrusted with a variety of tasks that are crucial to the smooth operation of our security measures:

Security Control: You will be responsible for conducting security control procedures in strict accordance with our policies and procedures. This includes monitoring access points, managing security systems, and ensuring that all security protocols are followed to the letter

Protection of Assets: You will provide security to our buildings, premises, and equipment, ensuring that our physical assets are protected from theft, damage, and unauthorized access.

Patrolling: Adhering to established patrolling procedures, you will carry out regular checks of the premises to detect and prevent any potential security breaches. Your vigilance will be key in maintaining a safe environment for everyone at the Compensation Fund.Who We’re Looking For

 

To succeed in this role, you should have a combination of experience, skills, and qualifications that demonstrate your ability to effectively manage security operations:Educational Background: You must have a Matric certificate (NQF Level 4) as a minimum educational requirement.

 

Security Industry Credentials: A Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) Grade C qualification is mandatory. This ensures that you have the professional training and knowledge necessary to perform your duties effectivelyExperience: We require at least 1 to 2 years of experience in the security industry. This experience will have equipped you with the practical skills and insights needed to handle various security-related challenges.Knowledge and Skills: You should be well-versed in the objectives and business functions of the Department of Labour and the Compensation Fund. Understanding the Fund’s values, goals, and performance requirements will help you align your security efforts with our broader organizational objectives. Additionally, familiarity with relevant legislation, such as the Public Service Act and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHS), is crucial.Essential Skills
