Introduction
Our client, a leading retailer, requires the service of a Butchery Blockman Trainees to prepare consumer-sized portions of meat according to customer-specific requirements and to ensure that meat market items are stocked, displayed, and handled in line with food safety standards and company procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key performance areas:
. Ensure staff productivity and teamwork
. Ensure sales maximisation
. Waste control
. Ensure customer satisfaction
. Quality meat preparation
. Housekeeping, food safety and hygiene
Desired Experience & Qualification
The successful candidate must be in Position of:
. Matric with relevant qualification
Must be able to use a band saw
. Must be able to break down a carcass
. Knowledge of meat preparation and presentation
. Must be able to prepare meat cuts and
> meat packs according to customer requirements
. Ability to maintain quality control standards
. Excellent customer service skills
. Excellent planning and organizational skills
. Strong interpersonal skills
. Excellent verbal and communication skills
