Joburg Market 2023 EPWP Programme Minimum Requirements:
Interested applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 36 and have Grade 10 to 12.
Must be unemployed South African citizens.
For General Workers, Painters, Office Assistants, and Gardeners’ positions, applicants must have passed Grade 10. Grade 12/ Matric is required for all other available vacancies.
Candidates who have not previously participated in a EPWP programme will be given preference.
Joburg Market 2023 EPWP Programme Duties And Responsibilities:
General Workers will be responsible for manning and emptying waste bins. They will also be cleaning platforms, Joburg Market surface areas, compactor, floors and rocker bins.
Gate keepers will be performing stop and search duties. They will be required to search delivery trucks so to verify delivery notes against consignments. Furthermore, they will escort delivery trucks as and when requested.
Office assistants will be required to sweep, mop, dust, and polish offices, kitchens, stairs and bathrooms. They will also be responsible for replenishing bathroom utensils and kitchen refreshments.
Painters will clean and paint Joburg Market infrastructures, and also perform manual maintanance duties.
Gardeners will be performing garden related tasks like watering Joburg Market gardens, remove weeds, and maintan plants and flowers.
Human Resources Assistants will be assisting in performing administrative Human Resources duties like filing the personal files of employees.
The Marketing Assistant’s resonsibilities include marketing platforms, storing marketing branding equipment, and assist in performing marketing administrative duties.
Platform Wardens will control the access and exit of pedestrians and vehicles to the Joburg Market premises, perform public safety and security patrols in and around the Joburg Market hall’s precinct, and also enforce Joburg Market’s by-laws.
